JOB PURPOSE: To provide
technical direction to a team of engineers and support personnel engaged in EMBEDDED
SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT / EMBEDDED SOFTWARE TESTING ( HIL ) with a focus on technology,
quality, and delivery to customers.

JOB DUTIES: Primary accountabilities of this position may
include the technical guidance to a team of engineers to perform all types of software
testing / Development including architecture, Hardware Finalization , Automation,
Troubleshooting and analysis to meet the customer requirements. In addition,
the incumbent may be accountable for organizational initiations in developing
the various technical solutions and making the showable use cases on various
future applications. Firefighting of the determining engineering services /
solutions strategy, plays an active part in planning the project , and work
packages , Milestones, Project technical Estimations , activity split-up works
with customers to determine needs, resolve problems.
Key responsibilities include planning for future technologies
and developing the case studies with the existing people and technology;
consciously establishing a culture that encourages innovation, partnering and
collaborative relationships and a customer focus; developing partnerships with
technology providers; and integrating products and services to meet customers'
needs.
The incumbent needs to be an excellent communicator
and begin developing as a strategic thinker; needs to be technically credible,
keeping abreast of technology, changes while depending on staff for the
technical depth and breadth. Incumbent needs a breadth of knowledge and
experience including products, processes, design and evaluation, and
organization vision, procedures, and policies. This role requires a long-range
focus on business strategy.
Decisions made by the incumbent will affect not only
own business vertical, but entire business. Those decisions will shape complex
systems, multiple variants within service / solution, processes or factories
and customers' perception of the company; could have significant impact on
sales and cause evolutionary effect on technology.
This position faces ongoing change - increased
competitive pressures, increasing engineering service complexity and
ever-increasing customer demands. Significant challenges from managing new
technology, managing the leadership in the organization, sourcing technical
people, replacing expertise and growing technical experts can be expected.
Position requires ever increasing skills in visioning, strategic planning and
coaching and leading people. This role requires that the incumbent increases
understanding of the business, the business aspects of technology and the
customers' business and needs.
BACKGROUND /
EXPERIENCE: Generally, requires an accredited engineering degree / diploma and
excellent analytical skills. Incumbents have usually gained 20+ years of
experience and have exhibited ability to work on increasingly more complex
assignments. Skills in program management, strategic planning, and project
planning and customer relations are needed. Excellent human relations and
communications are necessary.
As part of this role, Technical specialist will be
working with various technical engineers and technical Leads based on the
project/Initiation needs (Both Development & Testing ).
